For the past hundred years, the membership of First Baptist Church, Melrose has proclaimed Jesus Christ in this community. We have taken seriously the call of Christ for this area and hold to the teachings of Jesus Christ, especially where he admonishes us to "Go and make disciples, baptize and to teach...." (Matthew 28:18-28)
This effort is not about us but about "loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and loving our neighbor as ourselves." (Mark 12:30-31)
Our prayer is to strive to be faithful to this call until Christ calls us to our heavenly home.
